Rup Caudhas Special (2nd day of Diwali)

TODAY IS 2ND DAY OF DIWALI & KNOWN & CELEBRATED AS ROOP CAUDAS.

HAPPY ROOP CAUDAS  

Roop Chaudas is a festival associated with Diwali and is observe d a day before Deepavali in North India. Some Hindu communities perform a traditional oil bath on the day. Roop Chaudas 2010 date is November 4. Importance is given to bathing and for other body beautification process.

On Roop Chaudas, people take bath after applying oil and other traditional health products. Special powder of gram flour (Uptan) and other herbs are applied on the body.

In some regions, special pujas are offered to Lord Yama and Chitragupta.

In Gujarat, the day is observed as Kali Chaudash.
